Iggy And The Stooges - Search and Destroy (1973)
As the namesake of this blog quotes this classic Stooges song, it deserves an honorable feature as the first post. To me, Iggy Pop is one of the greatest poets in contemporary culture. His words are not very prose but I think that there is always an essence of tragedy alluding the decadence of human nature. This song suggests a self-destructiveness that is introspective and soul searching, very telling of young people throughout time - myself included; forever changing fashion that degenerates identity.
